Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a cost for QR codes generated here?
No. QR codes are an open standard — there is no licensing fee. This tool is completely free with no limits.
Do QR codes expire?
QR codes generated here are static — the data is encoded directly in the pattern. They never expire and do not require any server. As long as the destination (e.g. a URL) still works, the QR code will work forever.
What size should I use for print?
Download as SVG for print — SVG scales to any size without quality loss. If using PNG, choose 512px or higher. Printed QR codes should be at least 2 cm × 2 cm.
Can I add my logo to the QR code?
Yes. Use the center logo option in customization. Upload an image under 50 KB and it will be placed at the center. The tool uses high error correction (H) when a logo is present.
Is my WiFi password safe?
Your data never leaves your browser — all QR generation happens locally. Your WiFi password is encoded into the QR image only and is never transmitted to any server.
Why does my QR code not scan?
Common causes: insufficient contrast between colors, QR code too small, or content exceeds capacity. Try increasing error correction to H, using dark-on-light colors, and testing at 256px or larger.
