About This Tool
A free, customizable spinning wheel built for streamers, educators, and anyone who needs a fun random picker. Add any number of items, assign weights to make certain outcomes more likely, and spin with sound effects and smooth physics-based animation. Features include remove-winner mode for elimination rounds, full spin history, and automatic localStorage persistence so your wheel survives page reloads. The wheel uses Web Audio API for synthesized tick and chime sounds — no audio files are loaded. All processing happens in your browser. Pair with the Random Number Generator for numeric randomness or the Pomodoro Timer for timed stream segments.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the spins truly random?
Yes. Each spin uses JavaScript’s built-in pseudo-random number generator to determine the landing position. Results are not predetermined and cannot be influenced by the spinner.
Do my items save between visits?
Yes. Your wheel items, options, and spin history are automatically saved to your browser’s localStorage. They will be restored the next time you open the page. Clearing your browser data will reset the wheel.
Can I use this as a browser source in OBS?
You can open the page in OBS as a browser source. The wheel is interactive and designed for the streamer’s screen — click Spin or press Space to trigger it during your stream.
How does weighted randomness work?
Set any item’s weight above 1 to make it land more often relative to other items. A weight-2 item is twice as likely to win as a weight-1 item. All weights are relative — if every item has weight 2, the odds are identical to every item having weight 1.
