Frequently Asked Questions
How much water should I drink per day?
Common guidelines suggest about 2,000 mL (roughly 8 cups or 64 fl oz) per day for most adults. However, needs vary based on body weight, activity level, climate, and health conditions. The default goal in this tracker is 2,000 mL — adjust it in Settings to match your personal target.
Is my hydration data private?
Yes. All data is stored in your browser's localStorage. Nothing is ever sent to any server. We never see your intake logs or settings.
Can I change the units from milliliters to ounces?
Yes. Open Settings and toggle between Metric (mL) and Imperial (fl oz). All values — goal, quick-add amounts, and history — convert automatically.
How is the streak calculated?
A streak counts consecutive calendar days (backwards from today or yesterday) where your total intake met or exceeded your daily goal. Today does not count toward the streak until the goal is reached.
